Below are proper procedures for solicitation of funds or equipment by TAGSDF members in good standing. Also attached are three documents for you use. The first is document outlining the TAGSDF and the second is a document outlining the GaSDF. A sample thank you letter is attached as well. You should change the thank you letter to fit the need.
SOLICITATION OF FUNDS:
Any member in good standing of the TAGSDF can accept a donation of funds. To be an official representative of the association the member must be approved by the board to have that title. A "To Whom It May Concern” letter signed by a board member would list the official representative by name, and the ending date of their authority to solicit funds. BG McGuinn has requested representatives from one Brigade to solicit under those conditions. Real Property donations must be approved by the board before acceptance.
ORGANIZATIONS:
The TAGSDF and the GSDF are two separate organizations. Since the names are
similar (for obvious reasons) it is imperative that any formal presentation
must not confuse the two or lump them together.
